Important Update on Battery Incentives in NSW

The NSW battery discount available under the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) will only apply to battery installations completed by Monday 30 June 2025. This discount cannot be combined with the Australian Government’s new Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which begins Tuesday 1 July 2025.

However, starting 1 July 2025, the NSW Government’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) incentive will nearly double in value—and can be combined with the Australian Government’s battery discount.
