The Enphase Energy system is our micro inverter system offering. Traditional solar systems use a String inverter that converts the DC to AC from all the panels together, whereas the Micro inverter system has a dedicated inverter installed on each panel, converting DC to AC individually. The style of application where we would recommend these to our customers is where you may have shaded roof areas.

As each panel works independently if part of your roof is shaded by trees or a chimney for example, only the shaded panel will be affected, where as in comparison if this happened on a string inverter, all the panels installed on that string would be affected by the shading. The Enphase is also a good option for multiple roof and orientations installations, and for scalability on smaller systems if you want to expand later.
